A manufacturing company first

Tesla's story is as much about factories as cars. Vehicle volume still centres on Model 3 / Y lines across Fremont, Shanghai, Berlin, and Giga Texas, while energy Megafactories supply Megapack for the grid. Capex is increasingly pointed at next products: Cybercab lines, Optimus assembly, and more cell and pack capacity.

Vehicle and energy footprint

Fremont remains a core California plant (now also hosting early Optimus work after the end of Model S / X production). Gigafactory Shanghai is a high-volume export and local-market hub. Giga Berlin serves Europe. Giga Texas builds Cybertruck and is expanding for Cybercab and Optimus. Separate Megafactory sites focus on Megapack grid batteries.
